Located in Istanbul Erenköy, the project of Mankind Coffee & Eatings has been conceptualized by Pavé Studio with a holistic approach, by reflecting the lively and positive vision of the Bağdat Street. The brand and concept consultancy, interior design and implementation, and styling and menu consultancy of the project, which takes its inspiration from human and aims at addressing all senses, has been finalized as a concept project with authentic details. Mankind Coffee & Eatings has an indoor space of ca. 225 m2 and an outdoor sitting area of 50 m2 and is separated in three main sections in order to make use of the sunlight in the most effective way and to provide a continuous flow inside the venue. With the aim of creating a comfortable, modern and functional space where one can socialize easily, the first section is reserved as an outdoor sitting area; the second section, which is the center of the venue, as a display, service and sitting area; and the third section as a shared table, workspace and meeting area. A cozy atmosphere is provided by bringing together different materials like wood, cement, ceramic and copper matching with pastel colours, and it is strengthened with arched passages and customized sitting areas in the indoors. The ground floor of the two-storey venue is reserved for the needs of the employees and clients, thus contributing to the functionality of the upper floor. Since the venue continuously interacts with the daily life dynamics of the neighbourhood due to its location, the large glass windows are given an extra movement with site-specific posters in order to distract the attention from the neighbouring buildings.
